Splash Tribe Beach Club

Jul 07, 2023

There’s nothing quite like sipping on some cocktails, donning your sunnies, and feeling the stress melt away as you soak up the sun. Whether you’re seeking a healthy tan or a cool dip into a pool, the beach clubs of Sentosa beckons.

Now, there’s a new kid on the block. Splash Tribe has recently opened on Palawan Beach with not just daybeds and nosh, but also a sandcastle-themed water playground and 2-storey gazebos.

Some beach clubs have infinity-edge pools. This spanking new one does, too – and it also has something a little better: water slides. Whether you’ve got a kid in your family or are simply a kid at heart, you now have a new way to escape the heat.

The little ones can race their friends down a 3-lane slide, or whizz down a twisting tube. As for the adults, no one’s stopping you from joining in on the fun as well.

Great for those of us who love water parks but can’t tolerate one adrenaline-pumping ride after another, this seaside hang is a great middle ground. Splash around till you’re tired before heading back to your lounge or daybed for a siesta.

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Well, the same can be said for naps, if you ask us. Set aside all worries about KPI, timesheets, and clients for the next workday while you catch some Zs in one of their many daybeds, loungers, and gazebos.

The 2-storey gazebos offer plenty of shade on the lower floor if you need a break from the rays, and an open-deck on level 2. It fits up to 8 people so bring along the whole jin gang – you’ll find the perfect lounge spot, whether you prefer sofas, daybeds, or hammocks.

If the objective is to get a golden glow, the pastel blue daybeds by the pool are a great pick. Open a book, plug in that murder mystery podcast, or simply practice boketto – a.k.a. the Japanese art of doing absolutely nothing as you gaze into the distance.

While most visit beach clubs in groups, solo visitors won’t feel out of place here – the in-water Sun Loungers are great for anyone who wants some me-time.

You can’t have a beach club without food and beverages. Indulge in seafood like Tempura Fried Lobster Buns ($19) to go with the seaside views, or Assorted House Dips ($25) for some finger food to share. The dining table’s a great seat choice for anyone whose main objective is to stuff themselves silly.

On the drinks menu, find cocktails from $19, beer from $14, and house-pour spirits from $13. Those looking to knock the minimum spend out of the park with drinks can also choose to open a bottle of champagne, rose, or wine (from $65/bottle). Mocktails, milkshakes, and juice are also available for kids or drivers who would prefer to avoid alcohol.

Rejuvenation comes in many forms – while some choose to head to the spa or catch a movie, nature lovers know that nothing beats lounging by the sea. Swing by Splash Tribe at The Palawan @ Sentosa with your friends, fam, or anyone that will appreciate the option to glide down a water slide when Singapore’s heat and humidity spikes.
